| Public Expression Request |
|
Brigham Young University encourages responsible non-disruptive public expressions as part of its intellectual climate. If a student/group desires to circulate a public petition, flyer, poster or other material through a booth or other means on University property, a "Request for Public Expression" form (available at 3500 WSC) must be filled out completely. Copies of all literature, placards or other materials to be used in conjunction with the expression must be included with the form. The form needs to be submitted to the Dean of Students Office at least five (5) working days before the event. The Dean of Students office will schedule a meeting with the requestor (and the faculty advisor, if applicable) to notify him or her of the decision. Public expressions on campus should be peaceful, courteous, speak positively of individuals and institutions and be in accordance with the standards and principles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. These procedures apply to anyone desiring to make a public expression of opinion on campus. Any violations of these procedures may result in disciplinary action consistent with the Honor Code of Brigham Young University. Note: Digital signatures are unavailable for this form. Please complete all the fields you can then print it out and collect the necessary signatures on the form as needed before turning it in.
